Offered virtually, the ECGU-911 Workshop is a high-impact and fully interactive learning experience in critical cardiac emergencies.
Designed by and for emergency physicians and acute care clinicians, this full-day interactive workshop focuses on the unstable, high-risk, and easily missed cardiac presentations that can deteriorate quickly in the ED. From acute heart failure and cardiogenic shock to malignant arrhythmias, syncope, some internal defibrillator-related emergencies, and post-cardiac arrest care, this course is built for real-world emergency practice. (Note: this is the english version of our french course ECGU: GRAVE… et urgent!)
Through expert-led ECG interpretation, real-life case-based clinical reasoning, and evidence-informed treatment strategies, participants will sharpen their ability to recognize life-threatening patterns early, prioritize the right differential, and act decisively when minutes matter. This is practical emergency cardiology for the crashing — or at risk — patient.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this interactive ECG- and case-based workshop, the participant will:
Safely diagnose and manage acute heart failure
Accurately risk-stratify patients presenting with syncope
Recognize and manage two critical diagnoses: Brugada syndrome and long QT with or without torsades
Apply best-practice approaches to cardiogenic shock and post–cardiac arrest care
Establish an optimal diagnosis and management plan for patients with wide-QRS tachycardia, including implanted defibrillator multiple shocks
Determine appropriate investigation and treatment strategies for patients with aortic dissection
Course registration includes:
Training workbook in .pdf format with high-quality ECGs and real-life cases
Full reference of all content and key management algorithms
Full correction slides of all ECGs and Cases
Rapid ECGU Pocket Reference for critical cardiac emergencies
